Are you the person who, every year decides a resolution is the way to start the year?
Right, come 1st January I am going on a diet………..
I’m going to go to the gym 3 times a week………..
I’m going to give up smoking……………
Stop drinking alcohol……………………..
All sound familiar? Yes?
I have to admit that I have uttered the fatal……I’m going on a diet phrase on many occasions. Only to forget after the 2nd week, that I’m not meant to be munching on the crisps, but on a carrott or apple instead!
It’s great that lots of people find a renewed zest for doing something positive, but is January really the best time for it? How many people really stick to their resolution for more than a couple of weeks?
So this year I am not going to say a word!

I try not to make resolutions either. Though I do make plans / goals. Not to do with stuff like weight or drinking but more like … 2013 is the year we try to sell our house and move to city, or in 2013 I am focusing on adventure racing and cycling instead of running. They’re not real resolutions, more plans for the year

Spot on, I have got plans definitely, but there is nothing worse (well I suppose there is!) than setting a goal and not being able to achieve, not through the want of trying, but more that life can get in the way.
Have fun with the adventure racing and good luck with selling your house
